Schoolism.com : Lesson 2: Silhouettes

I just handed in my second assignment.
Starting with the silhouette faze of the project we are Designing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, well a new take on it.
I choice Medieval theme king jekll and Lord hyde. We had to give a who, where, when, personality and physical details of the two characters. I marked the ones with a red "X" these will be the characters I will be developing for the weeks to come.

The silhouette faze was perfect for me it forced me to loosen up and not get hung up on details, it made me just play with shapes and ideas. I recommend it to everyone.

Background story of my characters:
King Jekyll's Father has just died and no one believes in the new king, so Jekyll takes a potion to transform himself into a large giant monster so he can defeat the monster and gain the towns people trust as their new king. but the taste of power is intoxicating and King Jekyll soon realizes he is in over his head when many of the towns people go missing in the night.

Schoolism.com : Lesson 1: Jerry Loomy

I started taking a character design class online at Schoolism.com
Stephen Silver is the instructor and a professional artist, cartoonist and character designer. He is best known as the lead character designer for animated series such as Kim Possible and Danny Phantom and Clerks The animated series.

I just handed in my first assignment.
It was to create a character called Jerry Loomy.

Description of Jerry Loomy:
used car salesman boss. New York. 2008. A cruel, moody ,high strung, dishonest man. Wears a cheep button down shirt with a vest or sportscoat and a greecey tank top underneath and a tie that doesn't fit. Middle aged, White male Negative attitude towards life. Stocky Build around 5'4". A patch over one eye and missing a finger due to an angry employee biting it off. A large round head with deep set eyes and sunburned skin. receding hairline with a pony tail. mouth with yellow stained teeth.

With this first assignment Stephen wanted to get to know a little about us and see where our skill level was at and determine how to go about making us better character designers.
